Visiting our Offices

Inspection and Technical Services (ITS) is committed to providing an inclusive, welcoming, and accessible environment for all visitors, clients, and employees. Although our door may be locked, please knock and a member of our staff will be happy to assist you. When visiting our office, you will find:

Parking

• Accessible Parking on the west side of the building there is one designated accessible visitor parking space
• Accessible loading on the east side of the building
• Street parking is available on York Avenue, Kennedy and Vaughn Street. (As per Winnipeg Parking Authority, parking must be purchased using the PayByPhone App which accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Prepaid Visa and Prepaid Mastercard.)

Building Accessibility

• Ramp to main entrance, with automatic door openers
• Elevators are provided to ensure accessibility between floors
• Accessible washrooms, with automatic door openers
• Wide, unobstructed hallways for mobility devices

Office Accessibility

• ITS Office Location: Room 508, located on the 5th floor, take a right as you exit the elevators
• Customer Counter: a lowered counter is available
• Seating and Waiting Areas: Comfortable seating and waiting areas are provided for all visitors 

Communication & Language Accessibility

• Services available in English and French
• Printed materials available in large‑print format upon request
• Alternative communication options (email, phone, or in‑person support)
• Read‑aloud support

Support for Visitors with Disabilities

• Service animals are welcome
• Support persons are welcome
• Assistance available at reception

ITS wants to promote accessibility and improve programs and services with the goal of removing barriers for people with disabilities.
