Neighbourhoods Alive! Programs

Within the Neighbourhoods Alive! (NA!) initiative are a number of programs aimed at strengthening communities across Manitoba.
Community organizations are able to apply to the following programs:
Neighbourhood Renewal Fund (NRF)
Assists neighbourhood organizations in strengthening local capacity through community projects that respond to identified priorities in designated neighbourhoods/communities.
Community Initiatives (CI)
Supports a range of projects that strengthen community health and resiliency broadly in the inner City of Winnipeg.
Other programs within the Neighbourhoods Alive! initiative include:
Neighbourhood Development Assistance (NDA)
Provides core funding for the establishment and ongoing operations of Neighbourhood Renewal Corporations to support their coordination of local revitalization efforts in designated neighbourhoods across Manitoba.
Lighthouses is a youth crime-prevention program managed by Justice. It is an initiative of Neighbourhoods Alive!
Training Initiatives
 Funding is administered by Education and Training.
Community Youth Recreation
Provides support for increased recreational opportunities for youth in urban centres outside of Winnipeg.  Funding is administered by Indigenous and Municipal Relations.
Urban Art Centres
 Funding is administered by the Arts Branch of Sport, Culture and Heritage.
School Resource Officers
Works with students, staff and parents to address crime and safety concerns and provides a range of legal services.
