Our Parks in the Classroom program provides FREE live interactive videoconference programs, also known as virtual field trips. Students at all grade levels across Manitoba connect live with Park Interpreters and learn curriculum content standards within the context of Manitoba’s provincial park system.

The primary focus of our Parks in the Classroom programs are to connect students with the natural, cultural and historical features in our parks remotely.  These virtual field trips allow students that have experienced geographic and socio-economic barriers to visit parks, or in current situations like those presented by COVID-19. By reaching directly into "remote" classrooms, students are able to interact directly with park professionals and access provincial parks in a way not always possible due to current restrictions and limited access.

Birds Hill Provincial Park
After the Ice Age

Spruce Woods Provincial Park
Flashback to the Fur Trade

Meet an independent fur trader and learn about the rise and fall of Pine Fort – a fur trade supply post that was located in Spruce Woods Provincial Park.

The Spirit Sands

Whiteshell Provincial Park
Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary

The dedication and hard work of Alfred Hole has helped preserve the Giant Canada Goose as well as many other waterfowl species.  Discover the diversity of waterfowl as well as the conservation efforts enacted to preserve them.
