West Interlake Watershed Conservation District

West Interlake Watershed Conservation District was established in 2008 and encompasses an area of approximately 6,945 km. The CD is located along the eastern shores of Lake Manitoba and adjacent to the East Interlake Conservation District. Participating municipalities include Armstrong, Coldwell, Grahamdale, St. Laurent, West Interlake and Woodlands.

The CD initiated and began the Southwest Interlake Integrated Watershed Management Plan in December 2013.

The CD offers the following programs: groundwater and surface water quality protection, surface water management, aquatic ecosystem and riparian area management, wildlife habitat protection, and watershed management extension including an annual water festival.
