Provincial Programs

Export Development Program (EDP)

• Provides reimbursement to eligible Manitoba companies participating in a tradeshow or mission outside the province with the goal of assessing new markets, developing commercial relationships and/or growing in existing markets.

Incoming Buyer Program (IBP)

• Provides reimbursement to local companies that invite qualified international buyers to the province with the goal of buying Manitoba products.

Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (SCAP)

• The Market Development and Trade stream of SCAP provides financial assistance for market development activities that enhance interprovincial and international export capacity of individual businesses and improves overall domestic and international trade access for the sector.

Innovation Growth Program (IGP)

• The IGP provides cost-sharing assistance to SMEs to assist them in commercializing new innovative products and processes. With respect to trade, the IGP supports activities like adapting commercially viable products for new markets and market development or expansion activities for specific products.

CanExport SMEs (Trade Commissioner Service)

• Eligible SMEs may receive up to $50,000 to support the costs of business development activities to explore potential new markets where applicants have little or no existing sales.

Creative Export Canada Program (Canadian Heritage)

• Provides funding to new and early-stage exporters entering international markets and to experienced exporters expanding their global networks. This program supports Canadian for-profit companies and not-for-profit organizations operating in the creative industries.
