Clients may be eligible for Financial Assistance through various supports and programs.

Financial Assistance for Jobs Seekers

  • Training and Employment Services offers a wide range of programs and services to assist Manitobans in finding, preparing for, and retaining employment, including support for skills development to meet labour market needs.
  • Apprenticeship Manitoba training offers paid on-the-job learning and sponsored technical training. An employer pays an apprentice an incremental, industry-established wage while learning on the job. The Apprenticeship Branch sponsors an apprentice's technical training at school.
  • Manitoba Student Aid can help Manitobans with limited finances can achieve their educational goals by applying to Manitoba Student Aid for supplemental assistance for post-secondary studies. The Program provides full and part-time federal and provincial loans, grants, and bursaries, for studies within Manitoba, out-of-province, or out-of-country.
    • Student Loan Repayment provides information on repayment schedules, interest relief and debt reduction for Manitoba Student Loans.

Financial Assistance programs for Youth/Students:

  • Official Languages Programs for Students allows students wishing to study French either within or outside Manitoba can apply for a number of programs offering financial assistance and employment opportunities.
  • The High School Apprenticeship Option lets you start your apprenticeship training while you are still in high school. It combines regular high school instruction with paid, part-time, on-the-job training.
