Public Service Week
"Proudly Serving Canadians"

Poster ImageWe are pleased to once again let you know about National Public Service Week 2015 which will be celebrated June 14 to 19.

Since 1993, public servants from all three levels of government in this province have come together annually to share their achievements and show their pride in delivering programs and services that improve the quality of life for all Manitobans.

Many activities will be held during the week in communities throughout Manitoba, and all public servants are encouraged to participate in local events.

We invite you to share in the festivities, network and learn with other public servants, and embrace every opportunity you have to celebrate your commitment!

Statement by the Prime Minister of Canada on National Public Service Week

June 14, 2015
Ottawa, Ontario

Prime Minister Stephen Harper today issued the following statement to mark National Public Service Week, taking place from June 14 to 20, 2015:

“Today marks the start of National Public Service Week, an opportunity to recognize all public servants across the country for their contributions to the well-being of Canadians.

“In Canada, we are fortunate to have a high-quality public service that is professional, non-partisan and trustworthy. Every day, our public servants take great pride in delivering a range of services that support the work of our Government and meet the needs of Canadians in their day-to-day lives, both here at home and abroad. Their mission is to do this efficiently and effectively, while committing to core Public Service of Canada values – integrity, dedication, and excellence.

“Whether helping businesses reach new markets, finding one of the lost Franklin Expedition ships, or responding to natural disasters – be it flooding in Manitoba, forest fires in British Columbia or the earthquake in Nepal – public servants continued to rise to the challenge over the past year.

“The Public Service of Canada is committed to continuous improvement to better serve our country and fellow citizens. The theme for National Public Service Week, ‘Proudly Serving Canadians', is an expression of that commitment.

“During this National Public Service Week, I encourage Canadians to join me in extending our appreciation and thanks to all public servants for their important contributions to our country.”
