Forensic Program

Admission Criteria – Forensic Program

Admission to the Forensic Program occurs via the Justice system for individuals:

• 18 years of age or older
• Diagnosed with a chronic major mental illness
• Require long term psychiatric care & rehabilitation
• Require a secure health facility

Community Integration

As patients progress towards transitioning to the community and discharge planning, the Forensic Community Mental Health Specialists are involved in the process. The focus is connecting the patient with more community resources and supports to ensure a successful transition and placement.
