Adaptations for Seniors Independence Program
Home Adaptations for Seniors' Independence (HASI) is a federal/provincial
cost-shared program that helps low-income seniors (65+) who have difficulties
with daily living and activities in the home, by providing financial
assistance to homeowners and landlords to carry out minor home adaptations.
Items such as handrails in hallways and on stairs, easy-to-reach work
and storage areas in the kitchen, lever handles on doors, walk-in
showers with grab bars and bathtub grab bars and seats are examples
of adaptations that can be made.
- Age
& Opportunity - Safety Aid Program
