On June 2, 2011 Transport Canada officially launched the national Small Vessel Compliance Program (Non-Pleasure Craft)(SVCP). The purpose of the program is to provide Canadian small vessel owners with a free, easy-to-use tool to make sure their vessel is compliant with the Canada Shipping Act, 2001 (CSA 2001).
