In the Spring of 2018, VIRGO Planning and Evaluation Consultants provided the Minister of Mental Health and Community Wellness with a report, entitled Improving Access and Coordination of Mental Health and Addictions Services: A Provincial Strategy for all Manitobans. VIRGO's report includes 125 recommendations for improving access to and coordination of mental health and addictions services in Manitoba.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the consultation and validation sessions during the strategy development, and to all who have spent time reading and reviewing VIRGO's report and recommendations.
Since 2019, Manitoba has invested over $50 million in more than 33 projects and initiatives that address recommendations of the VIRGO report. These projects and initiatives have contributed to fully addressing seven, and partially addressing 62 of the VIRGO report recommendations. Manitoba is continuing to use a whole of government approach to look for opportunities to address recommendations of the VIRGO report.
To highlight the tremendous work taking place throughout the province, a series of information sheets have been developed to provide insight into the initiatives. The documents are meant to provide an overview of the initiatives and contain information on partnering agencies, funding, scope of project, Virgo recommendations the initiative addresses, and program impact. Please note this is not an all-inclusive of all projects and additional information sheets will be added once complete.
