Family Advisory Committee

Come join us!

Selkirk Mental Health Centre’s (SMHC) Family Advisory Committee is made up of family members of patients who have received or are receiving care at SMHC.

The purpose of this Committee is to discuss topics affecting patients and families (i.e. programs or services, policies, improvements, planning initiatives, etc.), and provide advice to SMHC as necessary.

Family members are encouraged to come out and learn about this Committee – even if it is just for one meeting.

Meetings are held quarterly in December, March, June and September in the Administration Building for 1.5 hours on a weekday evening (a light supper is provided to members).

Members may also choose to participate by telephone (teleconference).
