The Canadian Electronic Library's Canadian Public Policy Collection (direct access link) is a fully searchable database with over 16,000 items published by institutes, government agencies, advocacy groups, think-tanks, university research centres and other public interest groups. Over 3,000 items are added yearly to this bilingual collection (see its vendor licence agreement).

Canadian Reference Centre provides full text for 150 Canadian periodicals, 30 newspapers from Canada and elsewhere, as well as over 400 international periodicals. Examples of online sources in the Canadian Reference Centre include: Macleans, Beaver, Canadian Economic Observer, Canadian Geographic, CMAJ: Canadian Medical Association Journal, Canadian Banker, Toronto Star, Canadian Associated Presse. In addition, this database provides over 20 Canadian reference books and 100 international reference books, 84,606 full text biographies and an image collection of 107,135 photos, maps and flags.
Academic Search Premier database provides full text articles for nearly 4,500 academic, social sciences, humanities, general science, education and multi-cultural journals. In addition this database offers indexing and abstracts for nearly 3,600 journals. Nearly 1,800 journals are peer reviewed.
MasterFILE Elite database provides full text articles from over 1,100 general reference, business, consumer health, general science, and multi-cultural periodicals.

Comprised of scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports GreenFILE’s initial release will include abstracting and indexing for more than 600 titles, including comprehensive coverage – from volume 1, issue 1 to present – for Bioscience (back to 1964), Conservation Biology (back to 1987), Journal of Ecology (back to 1913) and Journal of Environmental Planning & Management (back to 1948). The total number of records is approximately 295,000, and full text is provided for more than 4,600 records from open access titles.
