Promotional Materials

In order to support the growth of international education in Manitoba, the International Education Branch (IEB) has developed promotional materials that are available for use by educational institutions within the province. Institutions wishing to place an order may do so by downloading the Promotional Material Order Form and sending it to the IEB.

Description of Promotional Materials

The theme for all promotional materials is "education excellence" and, with the exception of the Transition Brochure, they display our feature image of three students in a canola field moving towards the horizon. The items are designed to market all parts of Manitoba's education system (elementary and secondary, post secondary, ESL, contract training, distance education etc.).

Exhibition Banners - Four banners showcasing Opportunity, Choice, Success and Quality are available for use by international education programs in our schools and institutions; they can be borrowed for use at fairs and exhibitions.

Bookmarks - The bookmarks are plastic 3" x 7", rounded-edge rectangles that feature the main promotional image as well as the Manitoba logo and our education excellence Web site.

Brochures - The brochures have four double-sided 4" x 9.25" panels and provide a short summary of the kind of educational services that are available in the province. The contact information for the International Education Branch is also included as well as the Manitoba logo; they are available in English, French, Spanish, and Chinese.

Booklets - The booklets are the most comprehensive documents featuring 28 double-sided, glossy pages and measuring approximately 11" x 8.5". In addition to providing general information about Manitoba, the booklet has separate sections on "Elementary to High School," "Post Secondary Institutions," "Language Schools and Programs," "Distance Education," and "Customized Training Programs." It also includes summary information on all educational institutions that indicated they were involved in international education. Because of its size and cost, we have a much smaller quantity of booklets. Available in English and French.

Transition Brochures – Developed jointly with the Manitoba Council for International Education, these brochures have four double-sided 3.75" x 8.75" panels designed to help international students chart their path of study in Manitoba's education system. The inside panels have a flowchart to help students place themselves within the system and chart their course of study to reach their educational goals. The contact information for the International Education Branch is included; they are available in English and French.

Guidelines for Orders

Please consider carefully how many of each item you would like to order:

• This is not a one time only offer, so you need not order large quantities that will sit unused in storage. In most cases we can send extra items to you within two to three days.
• These items are intended to supplement your own promotional materials. While these materials are comprehensive and of excellent quality, it is important to develop and use materials specifically geared to promote your own strengths and unique features.
• Materials should be distributed in accordance with cost/available quantity. For example, booklets should be used for "display" copies in offices and booths, for international partners, or for prospective students that have already expressed a strong intention to study in Manitoba. Bookmarks can be distributed much more freely.
• We have already shipped copies of these materials to Canadian embassies, consulates, and Canadian Education Centre offices around the world.

There is no charge to you for the materials and we will cover shipping costs. There is no "cap" on quantities as institutions' needs vary.

Once you begin using the materials, please let us know your impressions and the impressions of the international audiences to which they are distributed. We are eager to discover how effective these materials are and how they might be improved in the future.
