Stromness Sir I wrote to you on the 14th in hopes it would have reached Captain Richards in Yarmouth Road but just finding by the Pilot returned from there this was not the case I beg just to repeat that you are at Liberty to engage Mr. Alexander Kennedy as a Writer at York Factory for Five Years at the Usual Wages of £15 P Ann
Wishing you a safe & quick passage & that Mr Kennedy may do credit to your recommended of him I remain Sir &c AL
