Demonstration Farm House

Designation Date: February 10, 1992
Designation Authority: The Town of Killarney
Present Owner: The Town of Killarney

This house was built by William John Milliken around 1910–1915. It was constructed on the grounds of the original Killarney Demonstration Farm, which was purchased in 1947 by the Killarney Agricultural Society for use as fair grounds. Ownership of the residence changed hands over the years, being used as a police barracks, a private school, and a residence for numerous families. The house is a "four-square" design, a common house style at the turn of the century. In 1991, the Turtle Mountain Flywheel Club undertook preservation of this building and established within it a local museum depicting vintage agricultural equipment and lifestyles.
