This bungalow-style house with its handsome veranda was built in 1918 as a summer residence for the Clark Family of Winnipeg. Orange Clark was the brother-in-law of Samuel Jacob Jackson, founder and long-time resident of Stonewall and an early Winnipeg entrepreneur and politician. Samuel Jackson served as Speaker of the Manitoba Legislative Assembly, Liberal M.L.A. for the constituency of Rockwood and Registrar for the Town of Stonewall. The house and nearby garage were constructed by Samuel Cooper of Stonewall.
