Built in 1910 for the Menarey family, this well known local landmark is modest in size and plan, but ambitious in materials and form. The rough field stone walls give the building a certain gravity. The mansard-shaped roof, a feature more commonly seen on French buildings, adds a sense of sophistication, and the fact that it is metal contrasts effectively with the stone below.
