

Under the Legislative Library Act, Manitoba publishers are asked to send one copy of every item published in Manitoba to the Library on legal deposit. Since 1919, the Library has built a heritage collection which reflects the histories, aspirations, and artistic expressions of Manitoba's diverse communities.
Prairie people and perspectives is a selection of recent titles from the Manitoba Legislative Library's rich collection of Manitoba and prairie publications. Titles are organized into several categories: Biographies, Description and travel, General history and History of institutions and organizations.
