Manitoba Government Libraries Council
Mission
The Manitoba Government Libraries Council (MGLC) provides leadership in library and information services to support the cost effective and efficient functioning of the Government of Manitoba and its agencies, boards and commissions.
Objectives
- Provide a forum for the exchange of information and further cooperation among members of the Council.
- Provide advisory and consulting services for member libraries and the Government to enhance quality library and information services and resources.
- Provide continuing education and training opportunities for Council members.
- Promote an understanding of the strategic importance of library and information services and resources to the Government of Manitoba and its agencies, boards and commissions for successful program development and delivery.
- Network or liaise with other related professional groups to take advantage of opportunities to enhance information delivery.
