Bright Futures Fund
The Manitoba government is investing $1 million in a new Bright Futures fund that will support programs aimed at improving high school graduation rates and increasing access to post-secondary education for disadvantaged and low income students. The Bright Futures fund will bring community-based organizations and schools together around a common goal: to address many of the key barriers to post-secondary education that are faced by under-represented students. This joint initiative between the departments of Advanced Education and Literacy and Education, Citizenship and Youth is expected to support demonstration projects within the current year.
