Lease Sale Statistics (1979 - present)
The results of competitive bidding on November 4, 2009 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Innovation, Energy and Mines, resulted in a total of $527,786.21 being added to provincial revenue
Nine lease parcels, covering 895 hectares (2,211.54 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $521,054.88. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $582.40 ($235.69 per acre).
Scott Land & Lease Ltd., paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Sinclair area. The firm paid $1937.91 per hectare ($784.26 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This is the last of four sales scheduled for 2009. The next sale will be held on February 10, 2010. The deadline for posting requests is November 6, 2009
