Visit provincial parks and fish for free this spring break

From March 27 to April 5, Manitobans and visitors will be able to visit provincial parks and fish for free without an angling licence in the province. The Manitoba government is doing maintenance on the website, so no licences or permits will be available for purchase during this period.

Anglers are reminded to follow all possession limits and size restrictions, as well as all other rules and regulations, including regulations that apply to specific waters. Federal angling licenses will still be required in national parks.

Anglers are reminded to exercise caution when fishing on ice. Prior to fishing, anglers should check conditions to ensure a safe and enjoyable ice fishing experience.

Wildlife licences

Spring conservation goose licences will be temporarily unavailable during this time.

Timber licences

From March 27 through April 1, Manitobans can purchase personal use timber cutting permits for eastern areas of the province in-person at the following regional/district offices: Steinbach, Lac du Bonnet, Beausejour, Falcon Lake, Pine Falls, Rennie, Seven Sisters, and Sprague.
