Call for Applications: National Advisory Council on Poverty

The Department of Families would like to share the following opportunity on behalf of the Government of Canada:

The Government of Canada is looking for participants to serve on the newly established National Advisory Council on Poverty. The Advisory Council is discussed in more detail in Opportunity for All – Canada’s First Poverty Reduction Strategy. The Advisory Council will be representative of Canada's diversity in terms of gender, regions, Indigenous peoples, visible minorities and official languages. It will also include people living in poverty or with lived experience of poverty.

This Council will advise the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development on progress towards poverty reduction targets. The call for applications for this Council is open until January 29, 2019.
