Watchable Wildlife Manitoba

Eastern Region

The Eastern Region includes the transition from farmland into boreal forest—land of lakes, rivers and rock. Manitoba’s Eastern Region lets you experience raw wilderness during the day with comfortable amenities at night. Or you can venture deeper into the forest for some of our best wildlife watching along trails and canoe routes. Two good starting places are Whiteshell and Grand Beach Provincial Parks.

The area is also rich in cultural and history. Take the time to visit the many communities along Manitoba’s Pine to Prairie Birding Trail.
