Watchable Wildlife Manitoba

Western Region

Manitoba’s Western Region is the southwest corner of the province where you will find mixed-grass prairie in the south and aspen-oak parkland on the northern edge. Watchable Wildlife sites to explore are Spruce Woods Provincial Park, the hidden birding hotspot at Whitewater Lake WMA and the Manitoba Grasslands Birding Trail. You might also want to stop in to Turtle Mountain Provincial Park or see the murals in Boissevain. You can cross Canada’s longest free-suspension footbridge at Souris.
