Private Well Testing Subsidy Program

The Private Well Testing Subsidy Program provides a once-a-year subsidy to private well and cistern owners, to support and encourage testing of their private water supply for harmful bacteria (total coliform and E.coli). Nitrate

In some Manitoba wells, nitrate has been found at concentrations exceeding health guidelines. High nitrate levels are a particular concern for pregnant or nursing women and for infants less than one year old.
