Manitoba Markets Weekly Reports:  These two reports are a weekly summary of the latest commodity prices for Livestock along with Grains and Oilseeds.
 
2016 Census of Agriculture Manitoba Profile has been released. The number of Manitoba farms has been declining, while the farm size, herd sizes and gross farm cash receipts have been increasing. Manitoba has the second youngest population of farm operators in Canada.
 
The Price Improvement Program is currently in place to improve quality and quantity of livestock marketing information. Program information and Livestock Prices Collection Templates can be found under Livestock Statistics. Market Intelligence encourages both buyers and sellers to contribute by reporting sales information.

June 26, 2017 : The United States Cattle-on-Feed (PDF 185KB) has been released and can also be found at the bottom of  the June 23, 2017 (PDF 512KB) Manitoba Markets Livestock Prices report. US Cattle on feed on June 1 was 11.1 million, 3% higher than the previous year.
 
June 20, 2017 : The Weekly-Monthly Manitoba Hog Prices (XLS 139KB) 2005 to May 2017 with price graphs can be found under Market Livestock Prices Report.
 
June 20, 2017 : The Weekly-Monthly Manitoba Cattle Prices (XLS 660KB) 2000 to May 2017 with price graphs can be found under Market Livestock Prices Report.
 
June 20, 2017 : The Weekly-Monthly Manitoba Crops Prices (XLS 2,211KB) 2005 to May 2017 can be found under Manitoba Grains and Oilseeds Prices.
 
June 19, 2017 : The Alberta and Saskatchewan Cattle-on-Feed  (PDF 184KB) has been released and can also be found at the bottom of the June 16, 2017 (PDF 510KB)  Manitoba Markets Livestock Prices report. The AB/SK Cattle on Feed report showed numbers on June 1 up 5% from last year.
 
June 14, 2017 : Manitoba's Farm Cash Receipts Estimates - Annual (PDF 428KB) for 2016 is now available and can be found under Financial Statistics. Manitoba farm cash receipts are estimated to be $5.93 billion, 2% higher than 2015 level.
 
June 14, 2017 : Manitoba's Farm Income - Annual (PDF 281KB) for 2016 is now available and can be found under Financial Statistics. Manitoba realized net income increased significantly to $637.5 million, up 38% from 2015.
 
June 14, 2017 : Cattle Feeders Calves Sold Through Manitoba Auction Markets (PDF 142KB) has been released and can also be found at the bottom of the June 9, 2017 (PDF 523KB) Manitoba Markets Livestock Prices report. Manitoba Markets Livestock Prices report. MB Auction Markets sold 23,487 head of cattle in May, 47% higher than the previous year.

April 13, 2017 : The Livestock Exports -Annually (XLS 338KB) 2012 to 2017 February can be found under Livestock Statistics.
   
March 3, 2017 : The Livestock on Farms in Manitoba and Canada (PDF 149KB) has been released and can also be found at the bottom of the March 3, 2017 (PDF 584KB) Manitoba Markets Livestock Prices report. The report showed cattle/calves and hogs/pigs numbers in Manitoba and Canada were higher than last year. Sheep/Lamb numbers were also up in Manitoba while down in Canada.
 
February 22, 2017 : Manitoba's Farm Income Forecast (PDF 368KB) for 2016 and 2017 is now available and can be found under Financial Statistics.
 
February 9, 2017 : The Manitoba Top Exports (PDF 33KB) 2016 can be found under Trade Statistics. Canola is the biggest commodity exported by Manitoba in terms of value, followed by pork and wheat.
