Mr Kennedy’s Nephew to Pack up all his things that lay at his lodgings & send those down to the Orkneys – To send them to Mr Forrest Merchant, [illegible] Leith by a ??? & Mr F will send them down by the Margaret Trader.

To apply to Mr Smith on Monday to pay £100 into the hands Berkeley [illegible] Bankers in London for the firm of Sir Will Forbes & Co Banks Edinborough to meet a demand on me the 12th of this month June. Let Mr Smith Esquire authorise Sir Wm Forbes & Co to pay the same sum of £100 to Miss Allan Merchant St Margarets Hope South Ronaldshae

There is a Sum of 7 or 8 Pounds due to Mr Forrest which I wish to be paid out of the money laying in the Bank of Sir Wm Forbes & Co Edinburg & is to be paid on Mr Forrests demand.

There is five Pounds which I desire to be paid to Mr John Sutherland at Knock Hall, St Margarets Hope.

I wish my three Boys to go out to Red River next year & cultive a little Farm there, as a Place affording them more comfort than they can find anywhere else & I wish that W. Smith Esquire will supply them with the means on my account to go there & a sufficient outfit for there [sic] voyage &c to their destination
