As of May 1, 2025, the Manitoba government allows for residential cultivation (or "home grow") of cannabis.

The law allows Manitobans 19 years and older to grow up to four cannabis plants in their home, with a maximum of four per household.

Regulations require plants be grown indoors and inaccessible to young people.

Other laws in the province may limit an individual's ability to grow, such as laws that allow landlords and condominium boards to restrict home grow.

Only retailers licensed by the Liquor, Gaming & Cannabis Authority of Manitoba (LGCA) can sell cannabis products in Manitoba. Retailers are permitted to sell up to four plants, 30 grams of dried cannabis, or its equivalent to an individual.
