Military Memorials Conservation Fund

The province is investing $2 million for the creation of an endowment fund to ensure existing military memorials are conserved and maintained for future generations.  This new initiative was announced May 8th and is now under development.  Eligibility will be as inclusive as possible.  The primary intent for this new grant program is supporting conservation of existing physical structures such as monuments, cenotaphs, sculptures, plaques and cairns dedicated to the memory of Manitobans who served, and who sacrificed their lives in defense of freedom and democracy.

Further detail on the eligibility criteria and application process will be available in late 2019 with an anticipated first deadline for submission of applications early in 2020.

Enquiries can be directed to hrb@gov.mb.ca or (204) 945-2118.
