Oak Lake

Designation Date: December 8, 1999
Designation Authority: Town of Oak Lake
Present Owner: Oak Lake and District Museum
Working for free, architect James Andrew in 1889 created for the Anglican congregation in Oak Lake a remarkable example of Gothic Revival design. Unfortunately the original tall steeple was struck by lightning and had to be removed, but the church interior, constructed by contractors Shaw and McLean, remains intact, in all its oak glory.
