Family Violence and the Workplace:
an Employer’s Toolkit
Family violence affects a wide variety of people. When someone is caught in the cycle of family violence, it affects every aspect of their lives including work. Because it is often hidden, it’s hard for employers to see the impact it has on staff and the workplace. Manitoba’s Workplace Initiative to Support Employees (WISE) on Family Violence has developed a toolkit that offers information and resources to help employers recognize and support staff who are affected by family violence.
The FVPP offers WISE workshops that are free for all Manitoba employers. The workshop is generally three hours in length and can be customized to accommodate the specific needs of your organization.
Without help, abusive relationships only get WORSE.
