MANITOBA HOUSING

Dear valued tenants and applicants:

In preparation for a potential disruption in Canada Post services, Manitoba Housing has put the following measures in place to ensure efficient continuation of business operations.

Payments by tenants:

  • If you currently pay your rent by pre-authorized payments, direct deposit or through on-line banking, this will not affect those payments
  • Any payments sent through Canada Post could be subject to delays, due to the uncertain nature of the situation.
  • Payments will continue to be accepted at 110-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB (cash & non-cash) and all other Manitoba Housing Leasing offices (please call ahead if you would like to make a cash payment).
  • We encourage using on-line banking for payment or alternatively, filling out a form to set-up pre-authorized payment. If you wish to set-up pre-authorized payments, your property manager can provide you with the form to set this up.

Applications:

  • Any applications or supporting documentation sent through Canada Post could be subject to delays, due to the uncertain nature of the situation.
  • Applications and supporting documentation will continue to be accepted at 200-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB and all other Manitoba Housing Leasing Offices.
  • You can also email housing@gov.mb.ca or fax (204-948-2031) us your applications and supporting documentation.

Please visit https://www.gov.mb.ca/housing/housingoffice.html for locations and contact information of Manitoba Housing Leasing Offices.

If you have any further questions or concerns about this, please contact your property manager.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time.
Yours truly,
The Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation

Manitoba Housing provides a wide range of subsidized housing throughout the province of Manitoba. We partner with other governments, community organizations and private groups to create safe and affordable housing.

Individuals and organizations may be eligible for one of the following programs:

Support Service Provider Expression of Interest

To help housing developers find support service partners, the Department of Housing, Addictions and Homelessness is inviting non-profit organizations interested in providing support services to complete a questionnaire.

Successful organizations will be included on a list of support service providers that will be posted online to facilitate partnerships. The department may also invite service providers to participate in further opportunities, including partnering on new supportive housing developments, securing housing for clients, and informing housing design.

See the call for expression of interest for details about this opportunity and how to apply. Feel free to reach out with any questions to Maia Brothers at homelessness@gov.mb.ca.

At times we issue calls for proposals for various development projects.
