Application for Tranfer of Crown Oil & Gas Lease (pdf)
- The holder of a Crown Oil & Gas Lease may make application to the Director under subsection 70(1) of The Oil and Gas Act and Part 2 of the Crown Disposition Regulation for approval for transfer of Crown Oil & Gas Leases. The application shall include:
a. An application must be submitted in letter form and addressed to the Petroleum Registrar. The letter shall include the following information:
i. Proof that the applicant is registered to do business in Manitoba. Call the Companies Office at (204) 945‐2500 if you need to confirm that your business is registered;
ii. a listing of all the Crown Oil & Gas Leases involved in the transfer ;
iii. Two original Transfer Forms (Schedule D, E or F, whichever is applicable) signed and sealed by both parties. You can find all of the forms at this location: www.manitoba.ca/iem/petroleum/forms/index.html#d.1. Schedule D‐ Transfer of Disposition
2. Schedule E‐ Transfer of Undivided Interest in a Disposition
3. Schedule F‐ Transfer of Part of Lease Area - There is no fee for the Transfer of a Crown Oil & Gas Lease.
- Submit one (1) paper copy of the application to the following address:
a. Regulatory Services Branch, Winnipeg: 360‐1395 Ellice Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3G 3P2, Attention: Mildred Valentino - The Transfer Forms are registered at Petroleum Branch by the Petroleum Registrar. A confirmation letter will be sent to the Transferee along with one of the Registered Transfer documents. A copy of the confirmation letter will be sent to the Transferor for their record.
