The results of competitive bidding on November 14, 2018 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Growth, Enterprise and Trade, resulted in a total of $46,180.72 being added to provincial revenue.
Seven lease parcels, covering 638.64 hectares (1,578.07 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $41,145.49. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $64.43 ($159.21 per acre).
Tundra Oil & Gas Limited paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Daly Sinclair area. The firm paid $253.00 per hectare ($102.38 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the final sale scheduled for 2018. The next sale will be held on February 13, 2019. The deadline for posting requests is November 16, 2018.
