Applying for Permits online

You may apply online for over dimensional, overweight, fuel tax and temporary registration (FRP) permits using the Advanced Routing and Permitting System (ARPS).

To use ARPS, you will need to apply for a free ARPS account. To do so:

  • Contact the Permit Services office at 204-945-3961 or toll free 1-877-812-0009.
  • An application form will be emailed or faxed to you.
  • Complete the application form with all the required contact information.
  • The account will be set up, your ARPS credentials and a manual will be sent to you.
  • You will be prompted to change your temporary password to one you create on the first login.
  • Once you login to ARPS you can apply for over dimensional, fuel tax or temporary registration permits at any time.
  • A Permit Agent is notified that your application has been submitted. The agent will review the application, verify that the information is correct, and issue the permit or contact you for more information.
  • Once your application is approved, the permit is issued.
