Manitoba Entrepreneurship, Training and Trade
Training and Continuing Education Division – provides programs and services that create opportunities to develop a skilled and adaptable workforce that supports the Province’s social and economic goals. Employment Manitoba offers wage subsidies to assist in the cost of on-the-job training for potential new employees. It must approve the wage subsidy before the new employee is hired. Subsidy levels may vary.

Hydro Northern Training Initiative – is a multi-year, multi-partner training and employment strategy to prepare northern Aboriginal Manitobans for employment and other opportunities related to hydro electric development in the North. Aboriginal-led in design, delivery and implementation of training, the initiative provides opportunities for assessment, upgrading, academic and technical training, and professional/management training for construction and other employment opportunities of Wuskwatim and Keeyask generating stations.
