  • Great-West Lifeco Inc., Canada’s largest insurer

  • IGM Financial Inc. is Canada’s largest mutual fund distributor

  • Winnipeg is also home to two of Canada’s largest property and casualty insurers, the Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company and Manitoba Public Insurance Corporation

  • All of the “big six” Canadian banks have significant operations in Winnipeg, including extensive call-centre and back-office financial services functions.
