1 Does not include the volume of visits for Children's Emergency at Health Sciences Centre.
2 The count of admitted patients awaiting a medical bed includes all patients regardless of where they are waiting. A small number may be waiting in the hallway and, if so, will be included in that data as well.
3 There are also patients awaiting admission to surgical and psychiatric beds--generally between zero and six patients on a daily basis. These patients are not included in the above data for 2000 to 2008, which are for "medical beds" only. However, they are included in the data for 1999.
4 The average for All Sites may differ from the sum of the individual hospital level data broken down above due to rounding.
5 Data collection was not standardized in 1998 and the early part of 1999; therefore, some of the differences may be due to differences in reporting.
6 Pan Am Urgent Care "Total Visits" was introduced in the "All Sites 2005 Total Visits" in March 2005.
