Manitoba Planning Excellence Awards

The Manitoba Planning Excellence Awards acknowledge individuals, organizations, companies and Manitoba planning authorities (municipalities and planning districts) in their efforts to enhance communities through innovative and high quality planning initiatives.

The Awards, which generally occur every two years, promote outstanding planning practice deliberately guided by and supporting sustainable development principles in Manitoba communities. This includes planning processes, as well as products, that support well-being by design. Up to three Awards, plus Honourable Mentions, may be granted. Nominations must meet all Award conditions outlined in the Application Form.

To nominate a project for recognition in the 2012 Planning Excellence Awards, anyone may submit an entry on behalf of themselves or another individual, organization, company or planning authority. To do so, please complete the application form below and send the package to the Community Planning and Development Division of Manitoba Local Government.

The deadline for submissions is December 12, 2011. Award winners will be announced at the 2012 Manitoba Planning Conference in Brandon, February 22-24, 2012.
