Other Geological Maps
The following is a list of maps and cross-sections prepared by the Petroleum Branch of Science, Technology, Energy and Mines detailing the geology of southwestern Manitoba:

Structure on top of the Mississippian Erosional Surface
(revised July 1998)
Map $25.00
Cross Sections $10.00 each or $60.00 per set

This is a regional structure map on the Mississippian erosion surface. It covers an area including Townships 1-18, Ranges 19-29 WPM. The map is on a scale of l:125 000. The map displays DST and core information; field boundaries; and subcrop edges of the various Mississippian stratigraphic units present in the Manitoba portion of the Williston Basin.

The map is accompanied by four (4) structural cross-sections which display the regional correlation of Mississipian stratigraphic units.

Isopach Map of the Lower Amaranth, Southwestern Manitoba

revised July 1998)
Map $25.00
Cross Sections $10.00 each or $50.00 per set

This map is a regional isopach map of the Lower (Red Beds) Member of the Amaranth Formation. It covers an area which includes Townships 1-18 and Ranges 19-29 WPM. The map is on a scale of 1: 125 000.

The map displays the isopach thickness and subcrop edge of the Lower Member of the Amaranth Formation where it is present in the Manitoba portion of the Williston Basin.

The map is accompanied by three (3) stratigraphic croww sections displaying the regional correlation of the Lower Amaranth.

Miscellaneous Maps & Surveys

Composite Magnetic Anomaly Map
$7.50 each

    S. W. Manitoba Twps 1-28, Rges 12-29 WPM
    Scale 1" = 4 miles

This is a composite of six separate magnetic maps submitted to the Mines Branch in respect of exploratory work done under Geological and Geophysical Licenses and/or Reservations. No attempt has been made to reconcile the data for the individual map areas. The area of each individual survey is noted along with reference. The contours and contour values are as shown on the originals, although some contour lines have been omitted where necessary. Note that some surveys are ground magnetometer, others are airborne.

Composite Gravity Anomaly Map
$7.50 each

    S. W. Manitoba Twps 1-25, Rges 4-29 WPM
    Scale 1" = 4 miles

Based on data from Dominion Observatories Branch (Maps 39, 47)
Bouguer Anomaly Values in Tenths of Milligals
Bouguer Control Interval = 5 Milligals
