Apprenticeship Technical Training Registration and Course Schedule
New Tuition Tax Credit for Certification Exams
Persons who have been certified through the Trades Qualification process, and apprentices who paid a practical examination fee, are eligible to claim both the certification and any related practical examination fees with this new federal tuition tax credit.
Have you registered for your technical training class?
Make sure to obtain the class you want, by registering for your 2013-2014 classes early. If you have not taken advantage of registration week (May 27-31) you can still register for your class online at accessmanitoba.ca, or in-person, by phone or by mail. Registration is first come-first served. See section for Technical Training for more information.

The 21st annual apprenticeship Highest Achievement Awards ceremony and reception honoured 41 of Manitoba’s top new journeypeople including the highest achieving apprentice graduates in each trade, the highest achieving trade qualifiers, the highest achieving internationally experienced trade qualifier and the contributions that their employers have made in their success. New Journeyperson Business Start-Up Program
A new provincial financial assistance program is now available to encourage new journeypersons in rural Manitoba to start their own full-time business and pursue self-employment as a career choice. For more information, contact the Small Business Development Branch.
Apprenticeship Bursary Application: Deadline Approaching - April 30, 2013
The Apprenticeship Endowment Fund awards bursaries to prospective or current apprentice(s). Selection criteria include demonstrated financial need, ability to succeed, and registration with Apprenticeship Manitoba by December 31, 2013. Aboriginal ancestry is also required to be eligible for the Tim McLean Memorial Bursary.
Apprenticeship Manitoba - Winnipeg Is Moving to the Exchange District!
Apprenticeship Manitoba will close its doors permanently at 401 York Avenue, effective 4:30pm, Wednesday, March 6th, 2013. On Wednesday, March 13, 2013, Apprenticeship Manitoba will re-open its doors at 111 Lombard Avenue along with Employment Manitoba and Industry and Workforce Development. In addition to apprenticeship services, individuals and businesses will now be able to receive advice and assistance with complimentary services such as career planning, finding work and business support, all in one location. Exam Scheduling Change for Inspection and Technical Services
Effective March 1, 2013, Apprenticeship Manitoba will no longer assess or schedule exams for Inspection and Technical Services Manitoba. Clients who are currently scheduled for exam dates in March or later, will be rescheduled by Inspection and Technical Services Manitoba.
Educator Seminar – October 24, 2013
Each year, Apprenticeship Manitoba hosts an Educator Seminar to update and inform guidance counsellors, teachers, resource counsellors about apprenticeship and its programs. Stay tuned for more details coming this fall.

This gala dinner is open to the public and annually recognizes the outstanding contributions that employers, journeypersons and instructors make to the Manitoba Apprenticeship training system while commemorating those that have shared their time and talent to train our future skilled workers.
