Project Summary:

In recent years, Agricultural Manufacturers of Canada (AMC) has merged its annual meeting and Trade Expo event with the annual Canada’s Farm Progress Show (formerly the Western Canada Farm Progress Show). Both events play an integral role in the promotion and export of Manitoba’s Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) sector capabilities focusing on agricultural equipment & machinery; components & sub-assemblies; as well as the related precision services.

For the past number of years, AMC has been national in scope with its overall membership steady at approximately 376 – i.e. ‘Regular’ members – 143 and ‘Associate’ members – 233. Manitoba (97) and Saskatchewan (150) continue to account for the majority of its membership. In addition to the Department being a long-time proponent (since 1984) and sponsor of this important industry focus group, typically 45-60 of Manitoba’s key industry sector firms participate in the AMC annual meeting and trade expo.
