Trade Assistance Program for Design of

Marketing Materials and Websites

Once your company is ready to export, the Trade Assistance Program helps you gain international and national exposure for your products and/or services. Our staff have worked with many Manitoba firms as they successfully cross borders, widen their markets, diversify their customer base and improve their bottom line. By developing a comprehensive approach to export markets, you too can succeed in exporting.

New Guidelines for 2009

  • The following guidelines are in effect and supersede any previously issued guidelines or until the fiscal year's funding is exhausted.

  • The Trade Assistance Program is designed to encourage Manitoba firms to develop new markets outside the Province by assisting with the costs of designing export-effective quality marketing and sales promotion material.

  • The program is open to Manitoba firms that produce exportable products or services to markets outside of Manitoba, with at least 50% Manitoba content.

  • Firms with more than 125 employees are not eligible.

  • Qualified firms may apply to Manitoba Trade and Investment for details.

  • Applicants are required to show why the assistance is needed and what the anticipated business benefits of the project will likely be.

  • A maximum of one application per fiscal year (April 1 to March 31) for the design of marketing materials.

  • A maximum of one application per fiscal year (April 1 to March 31) for a Website.  One upgrade of a company’s website will be allowed over a 3-year period.
