HEALTH and EDUCATION MISSION
WASHINGTON, DC
July 11 to 13, 2007

This mission, organized by Canadian Private Sector Liaison Officer (PSLO) Network, will focus on Social Sectors: a look at Projects in the Education and Health sectors at both the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank at their headquarters in Washington, DC.

  • pupil assessment; financial and economic analysis and reform;
  • education and technology;
  • vocational education and training;
  • public/private partnerships
  • administration of the education systems and the role of the public sector;
  • preschool and early childhood, and alternative delivery modes to reach excluded populations
  • HEALTH conditions in Latin American Countries, epidemiological changes, risk factors and their social determinants;
  • health and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs);

  • lessons learned from Bank projects;
  • IDB priority interventions in health, monitoring and evaluation issues.
