Private Sector Liaison Officer Network for Canada
The Private Sector Liaison Officer (PSLO) Network is a network of local contact persons who facilitate small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) access to The World Bank Group (WBG) products and services and interaction between the WBG and the private sector.
The PSLOs, with support from the WBG, act as a convenient local "one-stop shop". They disseminate information about the WBG and its transaction opportunities (procurement, International Finance Corporation (IFC), Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), trust funds), organize regional or thematic events, facilitate contacts between local companies and the WBG, and promote the WBG as a platform for knowledge-sharing and partnership. Although PSLOs do not have exclusivity as entry points for companies interested in the WBG, their 'insider knowledge' of the WBG and their local business community give them a distinct competitive advantage.
