St. Anne’s Anglican Church was constructed between 1862 to 1864 under the guidance of Archdeacon William Cockran, founder of the Church of England Missions in the Assiniboine Valley. St. Anne’s is the second-oldest Anglican Church in Manitoba and remains an active church in the district. The church was designed and constructed by the congregation under the supervision of a church member named Sanderson. All building materials were donated by local settlers, with partial funding for the construction of the church from the Colonial and Continental Church Society.

St. Anne’s Anglican Church was built in the Red River frame construction method popular throughout the West from 1820 to 1870. The most distinctive feature of that technology was the log construction procedure, in which short logs were squared and set between upright squared logs. While the construction was modest, the congregation looked to the popular Gothic Revival style for decorative appeal. The church incorporates such features as a belfry tower and arched, pointed windows. The interior contains many original decorative elements and furnishings such as the hand-made pews, a vestry screen and a baptismal font carved from a single piece of oak.
