Cancer Diagnosis Workshops for Primary Care: These small group, case-based sessions are supported by the CCMB Community Oncology Program and available throughout the province, on request or combined with existing medical education events and sessions. Some are combined with U of M’s CPD Community Based program, so check your local listings. As sessions are scheduled, CME credits and registration details with will be posted at cancercare.mb.ca/cpd.

LEAN on cME: these events combine a review of clinic work flows with a small group, case-based, CFPC-accredited Cancer Diagnosis education session of your choice. These 1½ hour sessions can be done right in your clinic or can be organized for a group of clinicians in your community. CancerPro: Cancer System Essentials for Primary Care: These short, one hour sessions from UPCON go through the cancer and blood disorder system from screening to palliation. Provides key information points for primary care providers and answers questions about contacts and utilization of various services. Great for new clinicians or those new to practising in Manitoba, in addition to office and support staff. Attendees are provided the most recent ‘Guide to Cancer Services in Manitoba for Health Care Providers’ as a resource.
