  • Manitoba Metis Federation (MMF) – Mental Health Support Line for Red River Métis Residential School Survivors.

    • One current mental health support is a telephone line that provides citizen access to Metis counsellors and resources.
    • 7 am to 11 pm daily

  • Manitoba Inuit Association
  • KAMATSIAQTUT HELP LINE
    Kamatsiaqtut Help Line provides free, anonymous, and confidential telephone counselling for northerners in crisis, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Services are available in English, and may be available in French and Inuktitut.

  • HOPE FOR WELLNESS HELP LINE
    The Hope for Wellness Help Line offers free, confidential, culturally competent counselling and crisis intervention to all Indigenous peoples across Canada, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If asked, counsellors can work with you to identify follow-up services. Services are available in English and French, and in Inuktitut upon request.
  • National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR)

    • If you are a Survivor and need emotional support, a national crisis line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week: Residential School Survivor Support Line: 1-866-925-4419
    • Emotional, cultural and professional support services are also available to Survivors and their families through the Indian Residential Schools Resolution Health Support Program. Services can be accessed on an individual, family or group basis: Manitoba: 1-866-818-3505
  • Klinic Crisis Line
    The Klinic Crisis Line provides free and confidential counselling, support and referrals for people who are experiencing thoughts of suicide, are in crisis or are struggling to cope.
    • The Klinic Crisis Line can be accessed at 204-786-8686 or toll-free at 1-888-322-3019.
  • Manitoba Suicide Prevention and Support Line
    This phone line is for individuals who are struggling with suicidal thoughts or feelings, who are concerned about a loved one or who are impacted by a suicide loss or suicide attempt. This crisis line can be accessed at 1-877-HELP170 (1-877-435-7170).
  • Kids Help Phone
    Kids Help Phone provides online, telephone counselling and text-based support for youth across Canada. Kids Help Phone also provides information on how to access community support services for youth, and can be accessed by calling 1-800-668-6868 or texting 686868
